Graeme is a Senior Industrial Designer who has a wide experience in designing products, from packaging, spaces, consumer electronics and furniture. Graeme graduated from Gray’s School of Art with a first class honours degree in Design and Craft and later from the Royal College of Art with a Masters degree in Design Products. He was a senior industrial designer at IDEO for 8 years and previous to that worked for Priestmangoode, IKEA and ran his own ceramic production company. In 2000 Graeme won an FX International Design Award for his range of ceramic tiles and in 2004 his “Makalös” design for IKEA was shortlisted for best product design in the Design Week awards. Graeme also teaches design part time at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and has been actively teaching/engaging in the area of education over the past 10 years. Graeme has traditional sketching and painting skills as well as expertise in CAD 3D modelling and 3D printing/rapid prototyping. His prototyping and model making skills are core to Graeme’s design process and allow him to think with his hands.
